The Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy and the Social Sciences was dedicated in September 1983 to honor Nelson A. Rockefeller ’30 who contributed his wisdom, energy, and resources to Dartmouth College and to the nation. “It is essential that we enable young people to see themselves as participants in one of the most exciting eras in history and to have a sense of purpose in relation to it.”
